Had an absolutely lovely 4 night stay at Alma Surf Lodge! The staff were super friendly and always greeting me with smiles and offers to help with anything I needed. The rooms and interior of the hotel are very stylish. Huge shower with great water pressure. Bar out the front with amazing margaritas. Coffe delivered to my room each morning. If you don’t need a kitchen and mostly want to have a beautiful place to crash after being out surfing or exploring, this place is a gorgeous little pick!
Last minute plan changes found us looking for a cool place to stay somewhere in the Punta Mita area. I spotted the Alma Surf Lodge. Matt, Camila, and the rest of the team made us feel right at home. The friendliest and funnest hotel staff around. I'm fairly well-travelled, from backpacking or road-tripping South America, to Asia, to Eastern Europe and of course Canada, from hostels and guesthouses to five star hotels. I've stayed in some really neat places and Alma is truly among the best of them. Outstanding smash burgers and perfect margs. You won't be disappointed.
Amazing stay at this lovely boutique hotel! The accommodations are warm and welcoming, with impeccably curated design. But the service and attention to detail sets them apart. With morning coffee delivery and bespoke cocktails, the staff are kind and attentive, creating an atmosphere that allows you to relax and enjoy your vacation. From the room to the rooftop pool deck… the hotel ended up being one of the best parts of our stay. Also, tasty breakfast and smash burgers that should not be missed. We just got back from a mastermind and surf trip at Alma Surf Lodge in Punta Mita and honestly had such a good time. The rooms were exactly what we were hoping for. Clean, comfortable, and designed with a real surf feel without trying too hard. It felt intentional and authentic. After long mornings in the water and a few solid work sessions, it was the kind of place you actually looked forward to coming back to. The staff really made the stay. Everyone was super friendly and easygoing but still on top of everything. They helped us coordinate rides whenever we needed to go somewhere and made the whole trip feel effortless. The location is hard to beat. Right in the heart of town, so you can walk to pretty much anything, and getting to the surf was simple. And the food was legit. The breakfasts were perfect before a surf session, and the smash burgers were a group favorite. If you are looking for a surf focused spot in Punta Mita that works just as well for a group trip as it does for a laid back getaway, Alma Surf Lodge is a great choice. We would absolutely stay there again.
Such a clean, beautiful building and rooms, with the friendliest and most accommodating staff. The food and drinks were amazing with really reasonable pricing. They offer delivery of coffee to your room in the mornings! The rooftop terrace and pool is so beautiful, with areas to swim, lie in the sun, read, or get work done. Close access to shops, markets, restaurants, and the beach. Can’t say enough good things about this place and the lovely people working here. Love it and would highly recommend!
You don’t have to be a surfer to enjoy a stay at Alma Surf Lodge. I cannot say enough great things about this boutique hotel situated on a quiet street in Punta de Mita! It was the ideal location for our college girlfriends’ getaway! The staff were SUPERB, the owners went above and beyond, the amenities plentiful and the food and drink delicious! We can’t wait to return!
We had a perfect stay at Alma Surf Lodge. The staff is amazing, kind, and goes above and beyond. Great location, short walking distance to two quality surf breaks in town. The surfboard loaners are quality boards and were a nice touch. I’ll definitely be back!
The Alma surf lodge is pure magic! The staff + owners went above and beyond at every turn, making us feel like part of the Alma crew. The vibe, the feeling, the energy, the aesthetic, perfection. They have thought of everything + have ensured it’s the best - from surfboards, to beach kits, recommendations, taking care of requests like they ain’t no thang, to non alcoholic options at the bar! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our week in Punta Mita the best + most special it could be. Truly! We hope to be back! In the mean time I will be spreading the word about Alma surf lodge and the incredible staff to anyone who will listen. xxx
